22 female cyclists met at Bikedock Warehouse and were welcomed by Nial and Kieran who had a fun evening planned for the girls. After a quick coffee and a welcome chat the boys were on hand throughout the evening to provide thorough demonstrations and very helpful tips on how to get that puncture fixed up and get and back on the bike as quickly as possible.
I think at the end of the session everyone was agreed that patching tubes is something to be done in front of the television in the comfort and warmth of your living room and not by the road side in the cold, having a spare inner tube to pop in is much easier for an 'on spot repair' as Nial very quickly demsonstrated.
The evening ran smoothly with one specific girl getting a bit 'pump happy' and couldn't understand how a tube twice the size of her wheel could possibly fit back in...Needless to say it did although it must have been dangerously close to exploding! Well done to everyone who came along last night, We have no doubt that you found the evening entertaining as always but we hope you found it very useful and now have the confidence to attempt your own repair if that dreaded puncture raises it's ugly head! Thanks to Derek from Bikedock who kindly offered this evening at no cost just because, well as we always say, we're a bit 'special!?!!?
Keep spinnng ladies
