Bikedock Belles

The Blessingbourne  Mountain Biking Trails are situated on the grounds of a privately owned estate, just minutes drive from Fivemiletown. Remember to have 4 x £1 coins ready to feed the barrier on arrival, which allows you to park your car all day no matter how many people are in the vehcile ! Then you just step straight onto the trails and for a play?! on the pump track.

Nick and Colleen Lowry, who own the Estate, are never too far away. They have been bitten by the trails bug in the last few weeks, and are very capable, but we think Nick definitely puts in some sneaky practice on the pump track ! He was showing us girls up with his smooth technique. Mind you, we shall challenge him on the 8km circuit on our next visit, and give him a run for his money!

Colleen, who had a couple of "adopted" daughters last weekend, welcomed us with open arms and went to great lengths to make sure we got the most out of our overnight stay, which turned into nearly 3 days of mixed activities and pampering.

The Lowrys can not do enough for you and make for a fabulous atmosphere, treating you like long lost friends. Just how fantastic they are was borne out by Colleen being allowed to wear the precious Belles top ! She loves it and thinks the PINK will make her go faster ! She seems to think us Belles train alot ??!!

Clougher Valley caravan park  is run by a close friend of Colleens and is situated just off the A4 on 18 acres of park land. Julie having put in a full day on the Blessingbourne Trails with Debbie, opted for horse power one of the days. Finding herself back in the saddle again she  enjoyed a long hack up through Fardross Forest which is filled with forest walks and trails - ideal for the kids, and the "big kids" alike. It  is a great spot for ALL the family to spend a summer break in the great outdoors. Being active, using imagination, and not being couched in front of the television and game consoles.
