Some Of Us Need This More Than Others!?!?

Paul Mc Arthur from N.I Orienteering has very kindly agreed to help us out with some training on Saturday 29th January in Cairwood Forest, Co. Down at 1pm. Is there any point at this stage in attaching a 'map' to help get you there?

This will be a great days craic as always, it will also really help those of us who have been trying our hand at map reading and plan to get involved in lots more multi sport activity in the future! Maybe it was Belles Cathy and Julie that prompted the urgency for some outside assistance given their recent performances in some of the CCAR adventure races and last years Trailquest!!  Isn't it such a shame you can't score points for finding the same marker twice!?.

This event  isn't a competition instead it's a relaxed training afternoon, but will include drills and forest running so be prepared to get your feet muddy at Cairnwood. I am sure we will find somewhere after for hot coffee and cake.  Remember, Orienteering is ideal for getting all of the family out so if you want to bring them along feel free.

This is a great way to prepare yourself for the Spring WEE series that LVO host over the Spring in the different parks in & around Belfast.  (see http://www.niorienteering.org.uk/lvo/Fixtures/lvo-only.php ) and although this is focusing on orienteering maps similar tips will be useful for the adventure races / trailquests during the summer. This is a free of charge event, any small donations are welcome in aid of the belles Pink Ribbon Appeal for UCF
