The Belles have been working very hard with the friendly Esporta team and the Ulster Cancer Foundation and we are pleased to say that preparations for our first Tri A Triathlon event, taking place on Saturday 26th March, are well underway. .
Now is the time to get your entry in! Download a registration form below, or call into either Bikedock or Esporta and fill out the registration form and leave it with a member of staff with your entry fee/donation of £10 per individual or £30 per team entry. Or see one of the Belles to get a registration form.
This event is for all abilities, male and female, and it doesn't matter how slow or fast you go. But if you feel the challenge of all three disciplines might be too much, why not enter a team?
This is a charity event and all proceeds will be go directly to the Ulster Cancer Foundation 'Think Pink Appeal', which is supporting the Belles Trans Alps Mountain Bike Challenge in July. This is an ideal opportunity to involve everybody and also encourage the many of you, who have said they are wannabe triathletes, into their first event, or give you multi-sporters out there a social training session. It's important to set personal goals and we have been so encouraged by your response to our initiatoves in the past year. Thank you all and we want to keep motivating you to achieve new goals and forge new friendships.
Although this is a fun event, there will be prizes for both male and female categories.
The transitions between each discipline will not be timed, so you will have the chance to get a short rest while you make your way to the next one. Also the bike is on a stationary spin bike in the Esporta studio - 30 mins and the total distance you cover within this time is recorded - so you can go as hard or easy as you like. The 3 mile run (or walk/jog for many!) is outdoors.
